چکیده
The ability to display virtual objects midair that can be seen without special headwear is an attractive proposition for the reality systems of near future. Volumetric technologies have demonstrated this concept, allowing users view with real dimensions in 3D space while enabling some forms interaction. Developments been witnessed haptic feedback which are used deliver a sensation touch digital world. As environments find more applications today's world, devices potential integrate and contribute immersive interactive user experience. Herein, air-based device, named Aerohaptics, presented, delivers mid-air tactile manipulating within pseudo-holographic display. developed system constitutes cost-effective approach relatively low complexity various as no wearable or handheld peripherals required. delivered accurately directed at specific locations on user's hand its intensity controlled suit interaction scenarios. Through experiments, localized fingertips well varying force according movement demonstrated.

User Interfaces for Volumetric Displays
T he constraints of current display technologies limit our ability to view and interact with 3D computer graphics. Although the data may be inherently 3D, we typically view it on a 2D system incapable of explicitly displaying the depth dimension. To perceive and interpret depth in the real world, humans rely on many visual cues, including perspective, occlusion or interposition, light and shado...
متن کاملVol-a-Tile - A Tool for Interactive Exploration of Large Volumetric Data on Scalable Tiled Displays
We present the current state of Vol-a-Tile, an interactive tool for exploring large volumetric data on scalable tiled displays. Vol-a-Tile presents a variety of features employed by scientists at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography on data collected from the Anatomy of a Ridge-Axis Discontinuity seismic experiment. Hardware texture mapping and level-of-detail techniques provide interactivit...
متن کاملClustering with Interactive Feedback
In this paper, we initiate a theoretical study of the problem of clustering data under interactive feedback. We introduce a query-based model in which users can provide feedback to a clustering algorithm in a natural way via split and merge requests. We then analyze the “clusterability” of different concept classes in this framework — the ability to cluster correctly with a bounded number of re...
متن کاملInteractive Volumetric Textures
This paper presents a method for interactively rendering complex repetitive scenes such as landscapes, fur, organic tissues, etc. It is an adaptation to Z-buffer of volumetric textures, a ray-traced method, in order to use the power of existing graphics hardware. Our approach consists in slicing a piece of 3D geometry (one repetitive detail of the complex data) into a series of thin layers. A l...
متن کاملAugmenting Reality with Projected Interactive Displays
This paper examines a steerable projection system, the everywhere displays projector (ED-projector), which transforms surfaces into interactive displays. In an ED-projector, the display image is directed onto a surface by a rotating mirror. Oblique projection distortion is removed by a computer-graphics reverse-distortion process and user interaction (pointing and clicking) is achieved by detec...
